Kumo Studio
A workspace for local models, still on the drawing board
After Airy, I wanted to spend more time with the models themselves. I'm planning an app where I can change their settings and compare how they respond.
A direction to work towards
- ConfigurePrompt & generation settings
- Run locallyModels & resource use
- CompareExperiments & memory
Still arranging the pieces.
The starting point
Why I’m making it
Working on Airy made me curious about the differences between local models. I want somewhere to try different prompts and settings, compare the replies, and see how much of the computer each model needs.
My part
What I’ve been doing
I'm starting with the architecture: model setup, generation settings, and how to compare runs. Memory is another part I want to explore.
Working out what each part of the app needs to do before I start putting it together.
The questions still open
What I’m working through
I still need to decide which models and formats to support. I also want to look into memory and resource use, but I don't yet know which approaches will help.
